Ouray Hot Springs

Situated in the San Juan Mountains of Southwest Colorado, Ouray Colorado is a true gem of the Rocky Mountain Region and referred to as the “Switzerland of America.” The concept for the hot springs is to create a more natural atmosphere that blends in with its mountain surroundings, while also respecting and paying tribute to the historic oval form of the pool. One of the biggest improvements is the expansive curved designed pool with the white bottom for a refreshing ambiance. The hot/soaking pools now have capacity for more people but the space is articulated to feel more intimate and peaceful. Informal pool shapes that create more edge and deck space are added to the interior of the pool. This new deck space separates the pools for diff erent uses and improves the pool’s functionality and ease of maintenance. Other new features include a new lap pool, LED water lights to replace the bright over-hanging lights, local boulders incorporated into the pool edges and deck space, shade sails, ADA accessibility, new slides and a splash pad.
