The Portland Loop PDX

Portland, Oregon

We partnered with Portland artist Tad Savinar, Ch2m Hill, and Hennebery Eddy Architects to compete in this international design competition for the Loop PDX in Portland, Oregon. The Loop PDX, a 6-mile pedestrian/bike greenway loop through downtown Portland, is intended to connect the Pearl District/Old Town, West End, Cultural District, PSU, South Auditorium, South Waterfront, OMSI, Central Eastside and Lloyd District with a single parkway that would cross the Willamette River at the Broadway Bridge and the Tillicum Crossing. We saw this as an incredible opportunity to not only connect these various districts, but to revitalize and enliven them, to blend circulation and recreation, and to allow a new vision of the “Sustainable City” to come to life.

We were chosen as one of 5 finalists in the competition and had the honor of presenting our ideas at Design Week Portland 2016.
