Aspen Residence

DHM Design is providing site planning and landscape architecture services for this new residence in Aspen, Colorado. The overall site plan is influenced by geometries created by existing trees and the natural conditions occurring on the site, such as wind direction, solar access throughout the year, and views. The overall site plan incorporates a formal zen garden, outdoor pool and grill, lounge space, and garden plantings with perimeter trails. Other design elements include sculpture siting, opportunities for art installations, and a raised vegetable garden with a custom willow trellis and recommended 6 yr crop rotation specific to the Aspen climate.
