Lutz Sports Complex

Lutz Sports Complex, a popular and heavily used sports complex in Arvada, Colorado, boasts incredible mountain views of the Rockies and is a regional destination for the Denver metro community. Apex Recreation District, who manages the facility alongside the City of Arvada, hired DHM Design to redesign and develop four new competition level softball fields on the 55-acre site.  The sports complex is a regional destination and brings with it economic development to the community. Our design removed (4) existing ballfields and replaced them with new ballfields that included much needed major drainage and stormwater improvements, site grading, custom backstops and dugout facilities, state-of-the-art LED ballfield and pedestrian lighting, expanded parking and vehicular connectivity, restroom and concession facility, and improved connectivity through the City of Arvada.  Multiple plaza areas with spectator seating and enhanced landscaping throughout. The visioning, design and construction of this facility was prepared and completed in conjunction with the same efforts at the nearby Long Lake Regional Park Sports Complex.
