West Meadows Residence

This beautiful property in the West Meadows Neighborhood of Telluride is set amidst rolling terrain with nearly 360 views of the region’s most iconic peaks and the ski resort.  The project represents a true integration of landscape architecture and ecological stewardship that features a carefully developed pond, designed within tight constraints that not only enhances the beauty of the property but serves to protect the owner’s water rights.  Other landscape features include extensive gardens, trails, significant tree planting, and restorative native seeding.  Our team worked meticulously on site throughout the construction process to oversee the implementation of an ecologically-appropriate and thriving palette of vegetation, and we created a long-term management plan for arboricultural resources on the property.  Importantly, a weed management plan was developed to direct the ongoing control of invasive and undesirable vegetation. Our ecological services team also evaluated the property’s forest health and developed a long-term forest management plan.
