Fishers Ranch

DHM Design developed a master plan for this 143 acre ranch that lies within the western Colorado mountains. A 3/4 mile stretch of Gold Medal waters runs through the heart of this property, offering extraordinary fishing access and providing inspiration for the development of the ultimate fishing retreat. DHM Design is worked closely with The Aspen Valley Land Trust, which has a conservation easement on the property, that protects the riparian ecosystems and surrounding high desert habitat, but still allows for development within specific building envelopes. The base camp of the site includes a fishing pond, a habitat pond, connecting riparian stream, a ranch manager house, and fishing cabin. A northern parcel is optimally sited for the primary residence of the property with year round solar exposure and expansive views to the mountains. The Fishing Cabin was officially certified as LEED Platinum and the residence was certified as LEED Gold.
