Our Carbondale office is located on Main Street of this small mining and ranching town, situated at the confluence of the Roaring Fork and Crystal Rivers. Nature is truly out our front door with the 13,000’ Mount Sopris as our datum directly south of town.

Inside our office, shelves are filled with books and magazines from around the world.  The walls are covered with a mix of finished work, in -progress drawings, and inspiration in the form of a Tinguley sketch, a Hoffman painting, a Cristo collage, a Klee line drawing or a Halprin plan. Our creative process unsystematically utilizes all resources and influences in our lives. There are no preconceived directions to how a design can begin or where it can go. The spark can come from anywhere and anyone.

We are committed to results that are real – buildable and appropriate in their contexts.

However, we often stretch the boundaries and blur the line between: intuition and analysis, science and art, building and nature.
